Syawal Pertama is a one-off zine intended as a visual chronology of the festival of Eid-ul Fitr, more commonly known as Hari Raya Puasa here in Singapore throughout the years.  While not meant to be a definitive guide, it aims to provide a glimpse into how the festival has been celebrated by the Muslim population over the years and how it has evolved into the current iteration that we know and love today
