The piece  is inspired by old Malay film magazines from the 50s and 60s, with embellishments like the film strip to match the bespoke designs from that era and a cutout of me dressed in vintage garb. the cutout itself is distorted to symbolise my fractured self-image and relate to the peribahasa.
